After last class I decided that I wanted to take on another logo client. I was curious about designing a logo for a vintage shop that came upon while I was walking around East Atlanta Village. I have always been into vintage shops and the thing about vintage is that is has a history and holds a certain quality. Vintage clothes and antiques were made with robust materials that were made to last into the future to be passed down. Eunice Walker is the owner of the shoppe and collector of vintage furniture, clothing and jewelry. She also invites local artists to have their pieces displayed for sale in her small shoppe. When I spoke to her she was very happy and willing to work with me in creating a logo that represents her interest in collecting and recycling vintage goods. She has been open for about 3 months and she runs her business by buying, selling and also sells art on consignment. I have decided to base the design around the Art Nouveau era. While I was strolling EAV I came a cross a poster for a show at Lenny's Bar that evoked the design direction I am would like for Why Not Vintage. How ironic.

Her business card, or whatever that is at the top, definitely looks like it says "NOT VINTAGE" and that's not very useful :)
ReplyDeleteI think you will do a great job with this place! And art nouveau is one of my top favorite styles of all time so I'm really excited to see your ideas!
